REUNITED

What does it mean to be REUNITED?
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).
let us shift into perspective this very well-known scripture, as Marlon did Sunday at the God Encounter Meeting held at Portland Baptist church in Mitchell's Plain. We are given the explanation of how our salvation came about in this particular scripture, but when focusing on the intricate nature of God we can explore this in more detail. Pastor Marlon elaborated on this subject by drawing on a 'five-p theory': purpose-passion-price-plan-promise. let's explore:
purpose:we were created for God, by God, thus belonging to Him firstly, yet because of the fall of man (sin), we were unable to belong to Him in our fallen state so here's what He did...
passion: the love of God, compelled Him to make a way for us to be reunited to Him
price and plan: He decided to pay a precious price to redeem His beloved creation, this price was His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ
promise: He promises that whoever accepts this offering as amendment for their sins, will inherit eternity with God, which is where we belong
When looking at our salvation in this way we see that God is passionate about us and cannot see us spending eternity in Hell, therefore He made the ultimate sacrifice: Jesus, so that we do not have to suffer in eternal damnation. So my encouragement to every believer is that if God's passion drove Him to such extremes, why should we be passive about this passion?
Let us find ourselves desiring to lay at His feet and to feast at His table, let us desire to be Reunited to our HOLY FATHER.

Kairos

Today the Kairos team left for training with Andy Horne. This exciting initiative is where young people from various backgrounds and youth groups are discipled and receive leadership training as they experience a deeper walk with the LORD.

Welcome to Cape Town

We were excited for the arrival of Jo from the UK. She's on the DNA programme and doing her missions track in Cape Town, South Africa. We know that GOD is going to use her powerfully and she'll be a great blessing to all of us at Impact Direct Ministries.

We will miss you

Georgie from Salisbury returned back home and what a blessing she's been to us. We are definitely looking forward seeing her again. Wish her a blessed and good journey back home.

Holy Spirit Fire: Living Waters

Last night the women ministry of Impact Direct Ministries hosted a Holy Spirit Fire meeting. With good praise and worship, powerful testimonies of how GOD got women through was a real encouragement and blessing. The dancers also ministered in dance and there was a real outpour of the Holy Spirit.

Sevina Bunton ministered a Spirit filled Word titled "Living Waters" and GOD was more than faithful when He released His anointing over lives of women.

Being sent

Yesterday morning we were blessed by Elder Angus Goddard who shared a simple but yet powerful word from the LORD. The response from the church was evident that GOD is sending us and wants to fill us with His Holy Spirit. We also bid farewell to Andre and Mandy who will be going to Spain. We trusting GOD that they will be part of the church plant in Spain. We are all expectant knowing that GOD is planning something exciting for Mandy and Andre. Keep praying for them.

The best has come

Last night we were all in awe of how powerful GOD is. We spent our time at the Glory Revolution praising and worshipping the Most High King, Jesus Christ. As the youth worship team led us into the throne room we just absorbed the Holy Spirit while enjoying the presence of the LORD.

The Word was taken from 1 Corinthians 13:10 "but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears". The best has come through Jesus Christ who is the perfector of our faith. The response to the Word was astonishing to see how young people opened their lives to receive from the LORD.

The next Glory revolution will take place 9 May 2008 so keep praying for this student outreach.

New Identity

When the presence of the LORD converge over lives and fill a place you know that something special is going to happen. Tonight was no different when we had "GOD Encounter". With powerful worship, prophetic WORD by Lee Giles (seeing angels proclaiming the Glory of the LORD and there to break chains of bondage) and a spirit filled song by the UK youth the platform was set for an evening of going to a deeper level with GOD.

Craig Dumont ministered a powerful Word from Isaiah 52 and how we have a new identity because of Jesus Christ. The awesome response to the Word of the LORD was evident and many gave their lives to Jesus Christ.

Praise the LORD for the mighty work He is doing here in Cape Town.

The stage is set

This morning we were blessed with good praise and worship, and encouraged by the young people from Salisbury, UK. Andy Horne also shared a Word of prophecy that the stage has been set for this generation of young people and that GOD has called us for such a time such as this. He then called young people from SA and the UK together to pray for one another. This was so powerful and being part of this life changing experience was incredible.

Pastor Roger Petersen ministered the Word of the LORD and GOD just opened up more truths as we focussed on Jesus Christ as being the most important person in our lives.

GOD Bless you as you pray for young people from the UK and SA as we come together as a generation who is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Open Air Outreach

After our "Hoot if you love Jesus" campaign we had an open air outreach in Bridgetown Cape Town. We had praise and worship, testimonies were shared and a powerful Word was shared by Elder Mark Biggs.

Hearing how GOD changed the lives of young people from the local communities and from the UK was encouraging to hear. As we shared more of the love of the LORD and the Gospel of Jesus Christ we saw how people were moved by what GOD is doing.

Tomorrow night we having a GOD Encounter and know that there will be an outpour of the Holy Spirit.

Hoot if you Love Jesus

This morning it was a beautiful day in Cape Town and many young people from all walks of life and from different parts of the World gathered to do one thing only "To lift up the Name that is above every other name, the Name of Jesus Christ".

We took to the streets, taking banners and posters with us, and encouraged people to acknowledge Jesus for being the Lord of lords. The response from people on the streets was amazing.

Seeing how the young people were proclaiming Jesus to the World boldly was so encouraging. Joel 2 declares that the LORD will pour out His Spirit on all flesh young men and maidens.

We also had the opportunity to pray with people and to share the Gospel of Jesus on the streets. Seeing the transformation in lives of people who started their day hopeless but now have the hope of Jesus was a really powerful.

As young people we also joined our hands and united in prayer praying for the city of Cape Town. We are looking forward to see the fruits of this morning and know that the Word of the LORD never returns to Him void.

Your Time is now...

Tonight we gathered at Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town to Praise and Worship the LORD. We were also joined by our brothers and sisters from the UK, Salisbury. As we began praising the LORD we could see how the presence of the LORD came down and many of us had an experience with the GOD.

The Impact Direct Dance group ministered in dance and blessed us with a dance titled "I believe". When we started to worship the LORD there imediately were an outpour of the Holy Spirit and all over the place people had an encounter with the LORD. What a wonderful GOD we serve that we can worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. The Word was shared "Your Time is now..." from Exodus 12:1,2 and the message was clear that our time is now to come out of our place of bondage, misery, depression.

As you embrace Jesus Christ and make Him LORD of your life He can bring you out and it can be your time now...

Salisbury in Cape Town

This morning the youth from Salisbury, UK, arrived in Cape Town and we are so blessed to have them with us. We are looking forward to see what GOD is going to do through their lives. We know that the LORD has brought them here for a purpose and as young people from different nations we are part of one body of which Jesus Christ is the head.

Pray for the team as they prepare themselves for ministry and just an exerience with the LORD on African soil.

Getting Ready

Today the Impact Centre was buzzing with people cleaning and preparing the centre for the arrival of our guests from the UK. There's alot of excitement around the place as we looking forward to spend some time with the young people from Salisbury. Seeing little children, teenagers, adults and seniors all working together, just reminded me of how GOD has called us all to unite to advance His Kingdom. Definitely more is done when we work together.

So right now as we all getting ready for our guests we know that we're going to be blessed having them with us.

Unleashed

Very rarely to find yourself at a place where you know that each step you take will be life changing. Tonight at GOD Encounter the Impact Centre was packed to capacity but more importantly waiting in anticipation to worship the King of Kings. "Chosen" led us in praise and worship and it was an experience. While writing this I'm still soaking in the presence of the LORD. The longer we praised the more of the presence of the LORD was released.

We were also blessed by the Maranatha Dancers that just honoured the LORD with their gifts and talents. It was so blessed and seeing the impact their ministry had on the lives of the young peopled who was present. As we moved into a deeper time of worship drawing closer to the LORD it felt as if a cloud of Glory was hanging over the place that was just waiting to burst over lives this evening.

I had the privilege to share the Word from the LORD "Unleashed!!!". It was based on the story of the woman who was bent over with a spirit of infirmity (Luke 13:10-13). But when Jesus saw her her life was changed when He declared that she'll be Unleashed!!! Not only did Jesus release her from her sickness but he also placed His hands on her to unleash a blessing over her life. When the call was made for people to respond, what was unleashed was so powerful as the LORD poured out His Spirit on men and women as according to Joel 3. There were also many who responded and gave their lives to Jesus. Please keep praying for them. We ended the evening with a time of praise!!!

The good news is that next week we'll have another GOD Encounter and so excited to see what GOD has in store after such an awesome experience.

Increase of Faith

This morning we were blessed with the ministry of Elder Mark Biggs and what a powerful time we had in the presence of the LORD. We were encouraged to have an increase of faith and having the assurance that we are cover by the Most High GOD. As we continued with worship and allowed the power of the Holy Spirit to fill the place more lives were transformed. We are definitely looking forward to tonight for more outpouring of the Spirit.

It's all good!!

Last night the Glory Revolution continued and what a powerful time in the presence of the LORD. Already in the beginning we could taste the goodness of the LORD as we praised and worshipped Him. Having young people coming from differenct walks of life gathering in once place to lift up the name of Jesus.

The Impact Direct Youth Worship Team led us in extremely revolutionary praise and worship. Seeing how young people are declaring words such as "Friend of God" and "I know who I am" over there lives was a real blessing.

G.L.O.W ministered in dance and once more took dance ministry to another level. The message for the evening was "It's all good" and it was taken from Romans 8:28 "An we know that all things work together for good to those who love GOD, and who have been called according to His purpose". That no matter what you are going through you have the confindence that all things work together for good. The response for prayer was astonishing and the Holy Spirit just filled up lives that were empty.

Looking forward to next Friday as we'll have friends from the UK who will be joining us at the next "GLORY REVOLUTION".

Don't get stuck!!!

What an awesome GOD we serve!!! Tonight we gathered in the name that is above every name that wonderful name of JESUS. The anointing filled the house and we all experienced GOD on a new level tonight. Tonight's message was taken from Acts 3:1-10,16. It tells the story of the crippled man who was healed at the temple gate called Beautiful. When he met Peter and John adn they introduced him to Jesus his life was changed.

He was begging for years and was stuck as a beggar but an encounter with Jesus allows you to "Get Up" and live your life victorious!!! So be blessed as you don't get stuck but allow GOD to move you into His plans for your life. Next week we'll continue this series and we expect more from the LORD.

This Friday we'll have a Glory Revolution at CPUT and Sunday evening the next GOD Encounter at the Impact Centre. Definately not to be missed.
