Leaving a legacy

What an awesome way to end a weekend where the name of the LORD was lifted up high adn seeing lives being transformed!!! Last night we had a full house with young people who wanted to experience and encounter the King of kings, our LORD and Saviour JESUS Christ. Bonteheuwel Baptist led us in Worship and we really experienced the manifested presence of the LORD. When you see young people worshipping the lORD and falling facedown in the presence of the Most High GOD, you know that something is about to be birthed in the natural.

Liesl blessed us with a dance titled "one night with the King". That is all we need one night in the presence of the King of Kings and our lives will be changed forever. It was so appropriate when Brent Williams shared the Word of GOD titled "Leaving a legacy". That when you have Jesus in your life you know that you have an opportunity to leave a legacy that will impact generations to come.

The evening ended with a powerful time of ministry and many people responded for prayer and people accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour. What a powerful and anointed weekend we experienced. Can't wait for the next GOD Encounter 9 March.

May GOD Bless you and we'll keep you updated on what's happening in Cape Town as the Holy Spirit moves like a mighty wind through our communities.

Hoot if you love Jesus

This morning it was overcast and windy but that did not stop young people taking to the streets and proclaiming Jesus Christ as LORD. As we moved through the main street in Athlone we held banners proclaiming JESUS as LORD and asked people to respond by hooting their horns of their cars.

What a response and people were acknowledging JESUS Christ as LORD adn Saviour. We also ministered to people on the streets who wanted prayer. It was amazing to see how excited the young people were to proclaim and lift up the name of Jesus.

We moved along and united in prayer for surrounding communities asking GOD to restore lives and save households. The power of the LORD was so evident during that time and we are all just in awe of GOD.

Next stop on our journey was an open air where testimonies were shared, the WORD was ministered by Mark Biggs and people responding for prayer. It was great to see so many people gathering to hear the WORD of the LORD.

Now that we've completed more than half of the 24 hours of prayer we still have 6 hours to push through.

24 hours of prayer

Cape Town - Tonight we saw many young people who were willing to seek the LORD in prayer. There was such a tangible presence of the LORD in the place. We were spending the evening in worship and as we seeked the LORD we began to experience the Power of GOD.

It was so wonderful to see how young people began praying for their peers, families, churches and nation. Andy Horne shared such a powerful word from the LORD and a prophetic word went out to young people of Bridgetown and the city that the soil is fertile for the children of promise. We shared the breaking of bread and doing it as young people from different churches was such an awesome experience.

Praying through the evening calling out on the name of the LORD and standing on His word that we will be saved. Many of the prayer requests that has gone forth has already been answered as we heard some testimonies of answers to prayers through the 24 hours.

As part of the 24 hour prayer meeting we're having a "Hoot if you Love Jesus campaign" and a street outreach program. So based on the wonderful start we've had to the weekend, we trusting GOD for greater things the rest of the weekend.

GOD Bless

Is that NOT Love?

Last night we celebrated the theme of love and the greatest expression of love is found in John 3:16 where GOD gave His only begotten Son as a sacrifice in order for us to have eternal life.

We celebrated the evening with family and friends and it was definitely a joyous occasion. So we enjoyed the food, the music and the fellowship. Special international guests performed at the event as well.

Not only was it a chance to get together but the evening was also in aid of the Impact dance group who will be leaving for Bloemfontein in April 2008. They will visit Gospel Workers Ministry and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through dance and testimonies.

The most important thing celebrating love is that we are reminded how much GOD loved us first before we even loved Him. So for those who feel they are not loved ask yourselfthe following questions:
- When Jesus chose you before the World began - Is that NOT Love?
- When GOD gave His only begotten Son - Is that NOT Love?
- When Jesus carried the cross and bore its scorn and shame - Is that NOT Love?
- When Jesus took the nails in His hands and feet, when they pierced His side with the spear - Is that NOT Love?
- When Jesus gave His life in order for you to live - Is that NOT Love?

So for those who need to be loved look at Jesus and know that you are loved.

Hope you had a blessed Valentines Day

Changing your Time

Tonight we had such a wonderful time in the presence of the Most High GOD. We had a home cell gathering and and the Word for the evening was "Changing you Time". The passage Matthew 15:21-28 was used as a reference where a Canaanite woman who's daughter was bound by a demon came to Jesus and wanted to change her time. She perservered, kept the faith and her time was changed from being bound to being set free.

Following her example there were three things she did that we should do to change our times:
1) She came to Jesus - whenever you in the presence of Jesus change will happen.
2) She perservered and kept the faith - even though the disciples wanted Jesus to let her go away and Jesus told her that He came for the chosen people, she perservered. The important thing is not just the perserverance but how she did it. She perservered facedown in Worship and prayer.
3) She believed the WORD - even the crumbs from the Master's table was more than enough for her. The Bread of Life was all she needed to change her time and the same applies to you.

The evening ended with a powerful time of prayer and we experienced the Power of the Holy Spirit and Jesus changed times in our midsts.

GOD Bless you as you trust the LORD to change your time.

United we stand

Yesterday we all got together as a generation of promise to seek GOD's purpose for our lives. It was good to see that all generations united and longed to have a closer relationship with the LORD.

The day was filled with excitement and everyone had a wonderful time. Not only was it good to see how young people got together with the same purpose but I believe by standing together something even more powerful will be released through the Power of the Holy Spirit. We had some fun under the sun and also gathered in various groups to discuss expectations and possibilities.

The day was a success and we can look forward to this year with lots of expectation. Watch this space for more exciting stories and testimonies of what a good God we serve.

GOD Bless and please pray for the young people of Cape Town

Breaking out!!!

Last night young people from different parts of Cape Town got together to seek the face of the LORD. The presence of the LORD was so powerful and evident in the place. We were led in worship by the "Sons of the Rugged Cross" and all over the place young people were giving themselves in worship. We were also blessed by G.L.O.W who ministered in dance.

The WORD was that we are "Breaking Out" and the text was taken from Matthew 14:25-32. It is when the disciples were on the boat and Jesus walked on the water. It was also where Peter had the opportunity to break out from where he was to where Jesus wanted Him to be. The boat not only represents a comfort zone but also symbolises familiarity. It also indicates limitation as the disciples could only move up until the end of the boat. Jesus called Peter out from the boat and he responded and did the impossible. Are you ready to break out, stand on the WORD of the LORD and walk into GOD's promises.

GOD Bless you as you break out into what GOD has instore for you.
